Me encontré un pequeño artículo sobre la experiencia que tuvo una persona con Gillian durante su paso por Dubrovnik, aunque el artículo es corto es muy agradable de leer.

....suddenly in front of me Gillian Anderson is buying ice-cream.I was so surprised to see her choosing favorite flavors like any of us "normals" would do. She choose chocolate and nougat and she was really nice. I was surprised to see how small and young she looks.

For us that really loved The X-Files, Gillian Anderson is really special. Even though I had a chance to see in person and talk to a lot of celebrities, she always felt kind of different. I saw the earings she's wearing, and thought how nice it is of her to do it since she just got them here in Dubrovnik. I couldn't resist and ask her if she likes it. Although I normally don't do that, I came to her, introduced myself and told her how I noticed she is wearing them, which got her talking that she knows it's "Dubrovnik jelewery", and on my question does she like it, she said she really does and cause of that she put the on that night. And it just looked really good with her little purple dress.

l didn't want to bother her anymore, so I just wished her good night and left to get dinner.

Una buena nueva para el día de hoy, como bien sabíamos Gillian estaba nominada para los "Portal Awards" en la categoría Mejor Actriz de Película por su participación en el filme "The X Files: I Want to Believe", para lo cual Airlock Alpha quien otorga el premio abrió una votación online.

Pues bien el día de ayer se publicó la lista de los ganadores, y gustosamente descubrimos que Gillian Anderson se ha posesionado del título de "Mejor Actriz de Película", venciendo incluso a Cate Blanchett de "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button".

Bien por Gillian que definitivamnete ha desempeñado un papel extraordinario en la secuela de Expedientes Secretos X.

The highlight of the Adriatic Luxury Hotels spectacular summer program ‘Stars underneath the Stars’ is certainly the Dubrovnik Film Meeting which has during the recent years become an ever more influential film manifestation.

Fourth year in the raw this unique manifestation is organized by the Adriatic Luxury Hotels in cooperation with the most prestigious regional film festival – Sarajevo Film Festival and Gloria Magazine.

This year’s Dubrovnik Film Meeting will last two days, 21 and 22 August. On the first evening on the VIP Beach at the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel movie “The Wrestler” will be screened. The star of the spectacular evening will be the leading actor of this touching sports drama, Mickey Rourke, and director, screenwriter and producer Darren Aronofsky. The eminent American actress Gillian Anderson will also attend the Dubrovnik Film Meeting.

On the second day, that is August 22, Adriatic Luxury Hotels and Sarajevo Film Festival in cooperation with Dubrovnik Summer Festival will organize a unique and unrepeatable gala film screening underneath the stars in the very centre of the old city of Dubrovnik, on the field in front of the Knežev dvor.

That way, more than a thousand viewers from Dubrovnik and their guests will have the chance to see this outstanding realization.

During last year’s Dubrovnik Film Meeting, the hotels of the Adriatic Luxury Hotels Group were host of some of the most famous actors of today:

Primeras horas del día sábado, qué mejor momento para actualizar el blog.

Pues como había mencionado en una anterior entrada Gillian estaría presente en el "Sarajevo Film Festival" y así lo hizo, la información a continuación:

Gillian Anderson Encantó a la Audiencia de la Alfombra Roja

La Famosa actríz Americana Gillian Anderson pasó por la alfombra roja en frente del Teatro Nacional la noche del miércoles 19 de Agosto (alrededor de las 10:30 p.m.).

Su llegada fue seguida por tumultuosos aplausos de la audiencia, quienes esperaron su llegada hasta horas tan tardes.

Gillian Anderson estuvo dispuesta a dar entrevistas, fotografiarse con fanáticos, y firmar autógrafos.

En el último día del 15to Festival del Filmes de Sarajevo el programa "Coffee with..." acogió a la brillante actriz Americana Gillian Anderson. La plaza del Festival en donde el programa tuvo lugar estaba llena de numerosos periodistas y admiradores de la destacada actriz.

“Yo tomé el micrófono, sin querer preguntarte nada, sólo quería decirte que Te amo", dijo un admirador extasiado, cuando finalmente pudo llegar al micrófono. “¡Yo también te amo!” respondió Gillian, afectuosamente y con la sonrisa en su rostro, con lo cual dice que la relación de la audiencia hacia ella no la dá por sentada.

El hecho de que la personifiquen en el mundo por su papel de la valiente agente del FBI, a Gillian no le molesta demasiado. "Alguien podría decir, ¿no es eso una condenación? Yo respondo, ¡no! Sobre todo debido al hecho de que el programa me dió mucho, trabajé con un grupo encantador de personas, que amo, y que trabajaría con ellos otra vez si tal oportunidadad se presenta".

Hoy en día, Gillian actúa más en el teatro, lo que le gusta mucho. También realiza importantes papeles en películas como el de “Playing by Heart” dirigida por Willard Carroll.

“Estoy algo emocionalmente conectada con esa película, ya que sentí personalmente el papel que interpreté. Además de que, actuar con actores como Sean Connery, Angelina Jolie, Gena Rowlands, fue una experiencia maravillosa”.

Los papeles en las películas, Gillian sobre todo los escoge de acuerdo a lo que el guión quiere decir. Igualmente importante es la persona que dirige la película, y como ejemplo ella dió al director Británico Terrence Davies, en cuya película “The House of Mirth” ella tenía el papel principal.

“Cuando oí que Terrence era el director, supe que quería tomar el papel. He estado siguiendo su trabajo y lo he apreciado muchísimo. Además, yo tenía una fuerte voluntad de demostrar lo que puedo hacer en otros papeles de carácter también " explica Anderson.

Para el final, sobre su estancia en Sarajevo, Gillian dijo:

“Vine porque quería ver su ciudad, y puedo decir que está llena de emociones, orgullo, y gente abierta. Estoy muy ansiosa por hacer turismo en ella. Anoche fue una noche maravillosa para mí aquí. Y quiero darle las gracias por eso ".

The event will be hosted by Gillian Anderson who will introduce the pre-captured feature, The Age of Stupid and then (perhaps) moderate a Live panel discussing the issue of climate change and its impact on the global environment.

The truth is out there - and it's very saucy!.

X-Files fans who always dreamed of Agents Mulder and Scully getting sexy on the cult sci-fi show and in movie spin-offs are set for a real treat thanks to porn firm New Sensation.

And the sexed up Scully, renamed Skully, in new adult film The X-Files - A Dark XXX Parody is a dead ringer for Gillian Anderson, who portrayed the creepy crimesolver, alongside David Duchovny, on TV and the big screen.

Ahora a comentar lo obvio..

Pues que aparentemente la industria del porno (y según he leído no es la primera vez) se vale de "The x Files, de Mulder y Scully específicamente" para vender sus "películas" ya que es muy bien sabido que esta serie arrastra su cuantioso número de fans, gran parte de los cuales al parecer siempre estuvieron muy interesados en que se resolviese la tensión sexual entre los protagonistas..

Bueno no se cuál será la respuesta de los fans, de los llamados shippers! a esta película, lo cierto es que a mi no me sorprende ni un poco, ya que no son los primeros en querer incrementar sus ventas a costillas de Expedientes X no?.

..y si es conveniente internarse en el mundo x philo para vender este tipo de cintas sólo el tiempo lo dirá.

Actress Gillian Anderson to be the Lecturer at 3rd Sarajevo Talent Campus

It is our great pleasure to announce that the 15th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival is going to host the eminent American actress Gillian Anderson.

This exceptional actress, who gained the wide popularity with the role of Dana Scully in the cult TV series THE X-FILES, which earned her numerous awards including the Golden Globe, the Emmy Award, and the Screen Actor Guild Award, as well as the title of one of the most popular actresses of today, is going to be one of the lecturers at the 3rd Sarajevo Talent Campus.

Gillian Anderson decided on acting while in the high-school, where she was a member of the theatre group. She graduated from the Goodman School of Drama at the De Paul University in Chicago.

The wide popularity came in 1993, after the creator of the X-FILES, Chris Carter, insisted on giving the role of Dana Scully to her. Since then, she has been inspiring both critics and the audience with her universal and diverse acting performances within different genres – from science-fiction to contemporary drama.

Gillian Anderson realised important roles in the films such as THE MIGHTY with Kieran Culkin, PLAYING BY HEART with Sean Connery and Angelina Jolie, A COCK AND BULL STORY by Michael Winterbottom, THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND in which she played together with James McAvoy and Forrest Whitaker, and HOW TO LOSE FRIENDS AND ALIENATE PEOPLE with Kirsten Dunst and Megan Fox.

For the role in THE HOUSE OF MIRTH by Terence Davies, she won the British Independent Film Award for the best actress and The Village Voice Film Critic’s Poll for the best acting performance.

In 2005, she was a part of an extremely successful BBC TV project – a TV adaptation of the Charles Dickens’ novel BLEAK HOUSE.
